Rishikul Wellness Centre

The centre runs programmes in Ayurveda, Yoga, meditation and healing, taught by people who work in those fields rather than read about them. Its yoga teaching follows the Yoga Alliance syllabus.

It is open to students and staff of the Vidyapeeth and to anyone else in the town. Whether someone comes to steady their own health, to learn well enough to teach, or simply out of curiosity, the door is the same one.

The two are treated here as a single body of knowledge, because that is how they were built. Ayurveda gives the plan — what to eat, when to sleep, how to live in a particular body through a particular season. Yoga gives the inward work, and the steadiness of mind that makes the plan possible to keep.

Taken together they are less a course than a way of arranging a life, which is why the centre teaches them slowly.
